Hi Rick, its a very impressive looking animal and you do a great job of capturing it. I've only seen moose a couple of times and both times I remember being pretty excited. Your shot is a great one with him feeding, very naturally on these twigs. The composition and colour are excellent.

I like your notes and find all to be very usefull and interesting.
As for the capture, for the conditions I give you a thumbs up, but maybe a little help in shadows and highlites may bring out a little more detail.

Hi Scott

Almost I said, "Great Scott, what a lovely action shot!"

You captured this one nicely with the little fish in mid-air on its way becoming part of the food chain. A great composition with excellent colour saturation of the spoonbill and its reflection on the water. The details are well defined and sharp. The darkish surface area of the water acts as a perfect BG that enhanced the soft pink colours of the bird and made it stand out. You made great use of the early morning sun which timeously came to your aid.
