Hola Joan:

Salutacions cordials

Josep

You have used your powerful lens very effectively, Smitha. The image of this extremely beautiful Kingfisher is without a blemish. The focus is precise, the colours are brilliant and the entire composition is a joy to behold.
Envy you for the plentiful nature around you!
Regards.

A heart-wrenching spectacle, Ganesan.
You did not mention that this little baby monkey is also deformed. Look at its face; something like a tumor grows on its cheek.
Have you ever pondered over the plight of wild animals depending for their survival on a metro like Delhi? Have you watched them feeding on muck from garbage heaps?
I have.
I remember watching a bevy of mynahs hopping around a dirty drain outside Old Delhi railway station way back in late eighties. Believe me, all of them had some deformity or the other on them -- the consequence of feeding on garbage.
Your picture leaves a big question mark for me. I do not look at it the way you do -- thanksgiving prayer for his daily 'bread'. I see signs of anxiety on its disease-stricken face.
