Great picture! I like the composition very much. In the Netherlands we have many of these Azure Bluet's. It's always a beautiful sight.
My compliments, Arjuna. |

Thanks. The sharpness is very good and I like the turned head. The exposure looks good and the colors very natural.

Welcome...
And what a neat image you are sharing...
Razor sharp...
I'm not an expert but I think the population is not lower here, on the contrary...it is a wild guess though.

the thumbnail does not promise what you can see after enlargement. This is a superb macro with great depth of field and clarity of structures resulting in a real 3-dimensional impression. The colours in the lower parts of the picture appear a little bit soft.
I think that the spider belongs to the family
Salticidae. It looks similar to Portia labiata. But I'm not sure about the species identity although your clear picture should allow a determination.
Best wishes, Peter |

Great water ballet...
My nit are the overexposed highlights.

Try cropping off about 3/4 of an inch off the top. You lose the deeper blue but I think it actually works better. I agree that the light is "ok" but doesn't have the drama that so many of your shots have.

Another terrific macro capture from you and a great catch from the spider, too! ;))
The details here are excellent and the natural colors look ok.
Very good POV and DOF, as well!
Bravo and TFS

I saw this on the thumnails and thought what an interesting shot it was. The body language of the subject tells a lot! The light and the colours are nice. My problem is the zebra. He clutters the background and distracts from the main subject. I have done you a little workshop which I hope you will like.
Kind regards,
Bev :-) |
