Hi Cecilea,
This is a wonderful butterfly photo. The composition is perfect and I really like the frame. The slight tilt of the thistle and the angle of the butterfly make it a classic. I have never seen thistle that shade of purple.
Only one question:
Isn't this the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (yellow with the black tiger stripes) and not the Spicebush Swallowtail (which is mostly black with ivory spots along margin of forewing)?

This is nice bird. The features of the plumage are clear and the pose is interesting.
When the berry will be ripped will have more opportunity for good pictures.
