Oh calamity. I sincerely hope your corner of paradise did not experience too much long term or permanent damage. Many times, depending on the amount of undergrowth and fuel material, such bush fires looks far more devastating than what it really are. If the fire past through a specific area fast enough it tends only to burn superficially and nature can recover rather speedily. However, if the fire moves slow due to an abundance of fuel material then it tends to consume or destroy much of the vegetation and the recovery process may take years.

This shot of yours although artistically present also has a "photo journalism" quality. Fortunately we do not see the flames of destruction, but only the tell-tale smoke signal. The composition was nicely done well defined fore- and mid-ground zones and the trees on the right to frame the shot. The colours are very natural, the details are sharp, and the exposure was well controlled.

Fantastic sharpness and exposure on this swallow, Daniel.
I find these birds so hard to shoot. They fly around so fast, and hardly ever stay still.
I really like the warm brown colors on this bird, and the touch of blue on the back feathers is beautiful.
An excellent pose and composition.

Splendid shot of this beautiful butterfly with sharp details and exposure. I think this is species of Common Albatross, I did post two shots of Striped Albatross and have this species also in my archives to be posted later. Lovely colours tones and perfect lighting and the darkish BG highlights the subjects well. Great POV and composition. Kudos.
