Wow.looks like a comic book super hero.lol.The plumage is wonderful,with good focus and sharp detail.The eye detail is excellent as it maintains a laser beam focus on something.Nicely composed in the frame.This is a new one for me to see so thanks for posting it.

Great this your very original capture.Your unusual very interesting POV and pose of this bug giving view really as on robot.Very good DOF and focus with perfect sharp details on bug and pretty blurred BG.Superb colors as well as lighting this scene.My compliments and thank you for sharing.

love the story and a fair capture for a quick impromptu photo mine always come out like this with the hand held 300 lens. it does need a tripod and there have been so many great shots i have missed. for a focal length of 300 the shutter speed should be at least 250+ to stop camera shake.
