Hi Dejan,

Just trying to work out whether you have taken this butterfly perched on top of a small flower, or whether you have been really clever and taken it in mid flight! I really like the composition, but I think that increasing the contrast and reducing the saturation would bring out the detail a little. I've posted a version to workshop to show you what I mean.

encore une jolie macro, d'excellents détails, couleurs métal originale avec ces gros yeux bleus, dommage de ne pas la voir entière.

Actually this is called an exuvia [the empty skin of the immature once the adult has fly away].
The nymph is intermediary between larva and adult. The nymph is still full and alive.

One more fantastic macro from you, my friend and yet another interesting species you present us.
Leaving aside for a minute this impeccable shot, i would like to point out the amazing things of mother nature again: i am blown away by this another demonstration of simetry and geometry - that awesome abdomen of this pelecinid wasp almost forms a regular hexagon; if the last 2segments were equaly long with the other ones, they would make this exact structure, all segments having the same angle between them. That's a wow from me! :)
Now back to the great shot - i simply love the sharpnes of every details here as well as the perfect DOF you used here. I would REALLY be interested in the exif of this shot, so that i can learn to take photos of such quality one day.
Other than that, a terrific flash management and a great exposure, made sure you had the correct contrast and colors, too.
All-in-all: magnificent! A favorite!
