Hello Mike,
A great scenery where the drama of nature is so well captured!
The strong contrasts enhances the atmosphere, and of course the scene has more credibility with clouds like this...
Attractive composition with great colours!

Hello Ahmet,
This is a very nice capture of the Barn Owl.
Great exposure,colour and details.
I don't think I would have included the barbed wire though. In fact,I think a closer crop all around would give it more impact.
I've posted an alternative crop in a workshop just to compare with.
Cheers

I've observed turkey vultures on numerous occasions in southern Arizona. I was told that the "horaltic pose" was used to warm the wings in the early morning just before they take off, which helps produce lift in early flight.

Here is one I photographed at Canyon Lake, Arizona USA:

And there is no problem when the files are filled with great images...

Hi Steve,

Yep, they look much like what I got in my picture. But the resemblance stops here, Agrocybe genus being quite different from Psathyrella. Or maybe isn't A. parasitica what you got here. As you said in your note the differences you noted are obvious. You should try to check the neibourghs in the taxonomy tree, maybe is anoter Agrocybe in NZ that fits better your observation. If not, Psathyrella genus is a candidate if you got this genus in NZ, because thei certainly look like some Psathyrellas. You should also check on Tricholomataceae family (I know ... this is a pain in the back...)

Cheers, Petru
