Hi Didier

First I need to congratulate you on the very articulate and informative notes. I don’t know much about this subject, but you painted a very clear picture.

Definitively this is no easy subject to photograph. The water would obviously reflect the least bit of light coming in on an angle, like it has done on the top right-hand corner, but you did very well to contain it in that area where it did not much affected the plant. The wide DOF caught great details on the plant and the bladder-like traps.

lovely blue colours of the water and sky. Also great clouds. I wondered if the lighter colour of the water in the foreground is due to river outrun in the lake.

A pretty capture of this good-luck bug. Your composition and POV is good with the bloom to the one side and the plant running through the frame at a slight angle. I just feel you maybe could have applied a little more saturation to the colours and maybe a little reduction in brightness during your PP. This would have intensified the colours and gave it a much richer tone. The details are nice and sharp and the exposure was well controlled. Of course the BG is fantastic since it is well removed and totally OOF.

Hi Tim,
it's good to see that at least some places on earth have snow. What I really like is the contrast between the sunlit mountain and the dark grey/blue sky. Looks freezing! It also looks inviting; winter hiking is one of my favorites.
