First I did add a little more (7%) contrast to the image and after that 12% more color saturation. Last, but not least smart unsharp masking with settings at 150% and 0.7 radius. All done in hpotoshop CS2.

First I did add a little more (7%) contrast and after that did use the highh light/shadow option in photoshop to pop up details even more.
After that did use the curves option with settings of 53 output and 47 input to brighten up the image.
Last, but not least I did add a little more sharpness in photoshop by using the smart unsharp mask option. Stiings at 150% and 0.7 radius.

I isolated the magpie using the lassoo tool then sharpened. Then I used the cloning tool to remove any remainig noise. There is still a little more work to do but I left it at this stage for you to see the result, which I hope you approve of.
