Brilliant work! I have a hard tim egetting close to these guys, so getting such a good inflight shot is amazing to me. Usually I only see them flying away from me! I love the eye contact.

Beautiful work! I really love both the sharpness and the background blur that your lens provides. I also like the almost monochromatic colouring: it anchors the bird in its environment really well.

Are you using the 2x converter on your 400? If so, how do you find image quality for larger prints?
