Kingfishers remain one of my favourite birds and this one is no exception. The colours of the plumage is really very special, especially the blue dots on the larger feathers. I like the space left on the righthand side of the image, this bringing emphasis to the large but beautiful beak. Thanks for sharing.

How striking is this landscape filled with all the beautiful autumn colours, and how well did you capture it. The wide open spaces as far as one can see are just beautiful. It is so wonderful to look at, adding the blue sky with a fleece cloud here and there and rounding it off with the beautiful lake in the background. Surely a dream place to be. This is really beautiful and striking indeed. The details captured on this Heron are sharp, well focused and presented beautifully. I just love the fluffy chest, the yellow eye and the feathers draped over its back. I always find it very interesting to look at its legs as it almost looks like an old man’s legs, all wrinkled. The fluff in its beak is eye-catching. Great composition of the bird standing in the water, and the water also forming part of the back drop. Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

The Dullstroom area seems to be good to you, as I have seen many beautiful images you posted that you have taken there. Purple is my favourite colour and your image is striking. Not only for the fact that the subject is purple, but also it contains another favourite feature that I fancy in an photograph. An image with an unopened or semi-opened flower bud makes it just super special, and that is just what I see looking at this lovely two-some. Not only for the fact that the subject is purple, but also it contains another favourite feature of mine, an unopened or semi-opened flower bud makes any image just super special, and that is just what I see looking at this lovely selection of flowers. I also like the way you captured the flowers all the way to the back, but still giving emphasis to the ones in the front and then on the other hand leaving enough to see as part of the backdrop. Another great shot from your hand and lens. I really like the full sunlight captured on the Darter's beautiful feathers as well as on its head. The shine on the black wings as well as the neck shaped so beautifully are shown with great clarity and detail. The flying motion is captured well, showing no evidence that the bird is actually moving. A great shot indeed. Great details captured of this juvenile's wingspan, it sure is impressive. I like the variety of colours of the plumage shown so beautifully. I also like the details of the muscles seen in the upper leg and the muscular built of this bird. As an adult is surely will be a striking creature. I find your 3 layered background very pleasing. The only tiny nit I have is your copyright mark right in the middle of the frame. Is it at all possible to move it to the corner where it will not be written across the object itself? Just asking, as in my personal opinion it spoils the beautiful feathers of the bird in this specific posting. Other than that, this is a great motion shot. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
