Unbelievable photo! Great colors and focus. What great lighting! I'm curious, was this taken in a hive, or in the wild somewhere?

Superb. Thanks for sharing!

I love the POV on this one. You're right at face level, which makes it more human somehow. His expression is dead on too -- looking away from the camera. I can't really tell what the background is (grass?), but whatever it is, the darker strokes echo the monkey's fur nicely. Great composition overall! Thanks for posting it!

Cool photo even though the quality is low. I was in Ecuador July 2006 when Tungurahua had its largest eruption since '88. My husband and I were backpacking in the area and felt the ground shaking one night -- it was only when we were back in Quito to fly out that we realized we had felt the first rumblings of this major eruption!

I'm a bit jealous of your view. It must have been spectacular! Thanks for capturing it and posting!

This photo brought back some great memories for me. I visited the Isle of Skye as a child. The drama of this photo captures the mood of the island perfectly. Nice DOF and metering -- dark enough to invoke the feeling of dusk but still catch all the details.

Unsual composition, but it works! I love the pointing head; it moves the eye right off the edge of the photo. Great color contrast too.

Great focus and DOF! Impressive. Nice composition as well. I like that you've left room to the left to give the photo more motion.

Great use of DOF! I also love the compositional contrast of the dark green blades of grass in the foreground and the blurred yellow blade in the background. :-)

I love this shot. I have always wanted to visit Antartica -- what an incredible opportunity.

The thing that really caught my eye in this photo was the angle formed by the two penguins' beaks. They match the angle of the mountain and the ground in the background (by the way, great DOF) perfectly – almost as if the beaks were a sort of compass measuring the mountain.

Thanks for the great photo!

Great clarity and focus on a shot with such movement! I love the split between white and green in the background. It contributes so much more to the dynamicism of the shot than a solid color would.

I'm just starting to try my hand at nature photography -- this photo is an inspiration! Great use of selective coloring.
