Hi Lou,
this is a fascinating creature you share today. Here in Alberta where I live we also have scorpions and they are very small about the size of one's thumb and are only found in the far south of this province. The photo looks good overall with some softness due to the file resize. The colour is very good and it shows well how the animal can blend in with it's surroundings,it could easily be missed and as a result a person could step to near too it and be stung ,not a pleasant thing to be sure. Thanks for sharing this interesting species with us.

Hi Sabine,
I'm slacked jawed looking at this symphony that you have conducted so very well.It is just an artful photo and so well executed that there are no words of critique I can give it,so I won't.I ordinary like to critique a photo and give the points but today I couldn't give out enough points for that is just what a great photo you presented. The best thing for me are the colours of yellow and green, both of which along with silver are my most favourite.A very fine image and thank you for sharing with us.Wow!
I can hear the music!

Hi Peter,
this is a goose I wasn't aware of that is until now.Now that it is listed as endangered no hunting of it should be allowed whatsoever. When I first saw the thumbnail view I thought hey maybe that is a Harlequin duck drake but when I landed on this photo,it was a pleasant surprise. The colour and details look very good for what was a dull day light wise and the focus is sharp. The f-stop used has isolated the background out nicely so there are no distractions.I hope you can get more photos of this attractive goose in good light. Thanks for sharing this goose with us all.

Hi Gert,
well I do like this photo of the spider. The details are very good and the colour rich and warm.I see it has a home it made for itself just behind it and that probably helps in it's ID but as it is I do not know just what the species is.I have always found spiders to be fascinating creatures and they are the only little animals that I leave alone when they come into my home and if I want one to be gone,I catch it and set it outside rather than kill it.The last sentence in your note sums it up nicely except for me they aren't cruel creatures, just misunderstood. Thanks for sharing and I hope it gets Identified.

Hi Francine,
very nice photo of the raccoon with such nice details and colours very sharply taken.I have seen raccoons when I lived in Toronto doing the same as this one, getting into garbage cans and rooting around for something to eat and making a mess while they did so.Raccoons like many animals are scavengers and garbage to them is fair game ,so it follows it is natural for them to raid garbage cans. The innocent look this raccoon has is priceless and it seems a shame to be so cute while sitting on a heap of garbage. Thanks for sharing an honest photo of the urban wildlife that lives here in Canada.I hope the raccoons can be healthy eating what we throw out as it sure is not all that appealing to me,I guess they are not fussy creatures.

Hi Joffrey,
this bird sure looks fantastic with the very noticeable red bill and eye.The detail is well photoed and the colour is good.I wish it could of be a sunny day as the bird would look even better but that is something nobody can control. Thanks for giving us this bird to view.

Hi Marius,
this is an attractive photo of the curious little bird,I love seeing poses like this. The light is very friendly for this shot as it has given such good colour and the image is sharp with good clarity, the catch light in it's eye brings the bird to life. Thanks for sharing this Stonechat with us,he sure had his eye on you.

Hi Ulla,
those mallards were just jealous because even though they have more colour they don't have the wonderful texture this Gadwall drake has to his plumage.Actually I like both ducks very much and all ducks in general. What I like about this photo is the light you speak of and the way that light shows the wonderful texture of his feathers and the warm colours. The image is sharp and clear as well, which brings him to life. Thanks for sharing this fellow with us ,he lives here too but isn't a very common bird.

Hi Rob,
the title you have given this little guy sure does fit. In High River for the first time in my memory, now has raccoons and I know where they live and hopefully I'll get some shots of them as well. The detail and colour of this photo of yours is excellent and the focus is sharp where it ought to be.I hope that you will upload more goodies as I know you have some real cracking great looking photos lurking in your archives.

Hi Tony,
this is a fantastic looking place and the photo shows it off so very well.I like the blues of the ice and of the sky and the sharp detail of the mountain. The exposure is very well controlled and the field of depth makes me feel as though I'm there.Thank you for sharing this fine scenic with us.
