Great capture - you pushed that shutter button at that "decisive moment" when the birds were aligned nicely.

Bob:
Your fine find must be related genetically to the Coffeeholic starbuckus I photographed earlier this year.
Seriously, I wonder if these avians have the ability to digest processed starches without suffering.

I like this view of the desert.
I wonder what it would look like if you'd used coloured filters atop the lens.
Perhaps I'll do a workshop later to see what happens.

Great composition Brenda!
The dark band at the bottom sets off the blue sky nicely.
Lenticular clouds have sometimes been mistaken as flying saucers. I think a skeptics magazine/website should post your image to illustrate how the confusion may arise.

Great exposure work. I love the way the sea and sky are nearly monochrome, which puts the boulders into the viewer's eye nicely.

You had a great opportunity to see this creatures (and a great camera to record it) and share with us.
Would've been nice to have a longer lens to get closer.

Good shot. Have you tried a black and white conversion?
More info about the whale would be nice.

I don't know its name, but it appears to be a larval stage insect. Its bright markings suggest it has a poisonous or bitter taste

I see those peaks on rare clear days.
I like the bands of colour (dark cloud, blue sky, white peaks, blue hills) but the foreground tree interferes.
