You have done a very nice job. Very good focus and the slight variation of the blue in the background makes a nice counter point to the detail in the feathers and eye.

Nice shot! I too am just starting to take bird pictures and I too have used my truck as a blind. One day i put out some seeds and sat in the car in the front yard - i live in the country - and just waited for the birds to come to me.
