You have the makings of a good shot, but a couple of things I would suggest when taking macros. Looking at your settings I assume that there was not a lot of light present. When shooting macro of insect you need a fast shutter speed, for one reason is that butterflies constantly move. If you couple that with a slow shutter speed and the fact the macro lens is going to pick up the slightest movement you will end up with camera blur. Consider using a higher ISO speed to compensate and try to increase you shutter speed to 500 or better. Also to gain better depth and more detail throughout set you Aperture to a value better then F8, I would try starting at F11 or better. I like the Macro Lens you are using, it is very reliable. Hope this helps.
