I have a zoomed in photo of me standing on the arch before it collapsed next to my motorcycle in 1989. I'll have to try and find it. Lucky for me I didn't return there a year later. Thanks for reminding me about this place.

These birds drive me nuts with their never ending call day and night. It is very rare to see one in flight though. I've read that they are very lazy parents and lay their eggs in other birds nests for them to raise. The Wattlebird is one of their favourite step parents which may be why it was getting chased away. Whilst it isn't totally in focus I can appreciate that this is a rare sight and you had to be very quick to catch it.

These would have to be the worlds stupidest birds (but enjoying to watch) and his gaumless eyes give the game away perfectly. I like how if you follow them they will only run away in a straight line in the direction they are being followed and if you stop, they stop too. They make a mess of your garden mulch as well, but life would be duller without them. This is a healthy looking specimen. Thanks for sharing.
