Congrats, beautiful POV and no reflections of flashlight on the animal in ddep darkness.
Sorry to miss this one for long time, actually been off TN for a while. The capture is amazing and the powerful sun light is handled very well, but have to note that it reads how strange it feels from the appearence: I am not a rock dweller!
My fav angle is when the jaws are visible. They are awesome beauties with an unexpexpectedly timid habit despite the appearence. Great shot!
A bizarre looking animal I see for the first time. The explanation is quite satisfying and it is very astonishing to learn they can attain that size indeed. Many tnx for share,
Technically beetle :) Under circumstances, getting sharp edges would be an issue of waiting for long, but still you could have better angles by changing sides..
Congrats for the discovery and getting close this birds in order to get such a close up. TFS
The clarity, compo and beautiful background are spectacular issues about the photo of yours. As always youth is beautiful. TFS

This is clearly a H. lucorum. Indeed a northerly species found in Izmir like several species. They were possible brought from Istanbul in older times. Nice POV
