Hi Ram,
I haven't visited TrekNature since Christmas and coming back to your photos I have to say that this is the best one you uploaded this month! Everything has already been said about it, so all I'm going to offer is my sincere congratulations!

Hi Ivan,
gorgous dragonfly you found! Perfectly captured, too: composition, sharpness and colors are all excellent!

Hi Michal,
Dragonflies are my favorite insects and this is one of the best captures I've ever witnessed! All the technical merits of the photo have been already mentioned by others so all I have to offer is my sincere congratulations!
I'd also like to thank you for doing a workshop on one of my own dragonflies (the Trithemis annulata). I know it's been a while but I hadn't visited TrekNature this year...
Cheers and TFS,
Stavros
Hi Mark,
wonderful butterfly capture. Excellent PoV to get the whole wings in focus. Their brown color beautifully contrasts the green all around and I like the composition with the lines created by the long leaves adding I think to the effect you describe in your title (lift-off).

Hi Ram,
This is a great find! I've only seen (and managed to photograph :-) an antlion once. I love your composition. I only wish there was better focus on the body of the insect, too.
Thanks for sharing and have a very Merry Christmas!

Hi Harm,
excellent capture of this damsel! Perfect PoV and DoF, resulting in an amazing level of detail and sharpness.

Hello Fikret,
wonderful photo of this skipper. PoV and DoF are excellent and manage both great details across the whole body and wings of the insect and a soft undistracting background. I like the composition, too!

Kalispera Chrisanthe,
Lovely capture of a wonderful flower. The lighting is wonderful to highlight the petals and the PoV and square crop is excellent. It only needed a bit more exposure (maybe 1 stop) to bring out the details in the flower-center.

Stavros
