A great composition you made here, Janice - very good use of this fascinating tree as a foreground interest against the seaside setting. The colors are beautiful and vivid, and you managed to turn the strong light into an advantage for your photo. Very nice.
A pleasant sunset photo, Mpampis. The choice of low horizon to have the silhouettes of the undulating hills topped by the big sky makes a nice composition. The color and light setting looks great as it unfolds on this fine sky.
What a brilliant photo you made here of the sparrow, Bente. Fabulous light to show all the lovely details and colors of the plumage, a wonderful lively eye, and good DOF. Nothing to complain here, it is just very good.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
A fine and animated moment of interaction you captured here, Gerhard. Stunning colors, fine setting with the branches as a frame, and a lively story being told. The motion blur of course is the icing on the cake, good work. Happy New Year to you.
Wow, that ant looks huge. Very impressive "hairy" closeup, and a nice compositional diagonal made by the blade on which it is sitting. Excellent notes, too, fine job on this posting. Happy New Year to you.
Hi Callie. Beautiful shot of the jackal, with a very interesting posture and a nice compo that leaves space in the direction that he is facing. The water puddle on the dirt floor provides just the right amount of compositional interest without unduly distracting from the main subject. Again a quality wildlife photo and great notes. Happy New Year to you.
Hola Ninfa. A nice and detailed close-up of the "jumper", with good textural details on its body. It also stands out well amidst the colorful surroundings. Interesting and detailed notes to go with it, well done.
Happy New Year to you!
Wow, this came out really amazing, Gert - I feel like the duck were about to land on my head any second. Excellent how the sunlight accentuates the plumage and details on the "belly", and nice use of shallow DOF against the background and winter-blue sky. Well done.

Very nice one, Willie - this one already called out to me on the small preview picture. Great pose you got from the hippo, nice use of the foreground grasses to frame the head in between, and for the composition it's good that on the right there is space for him to "go into". Could be a small tad sharper but looks actually fine as is. Fun caption, too :-)
