Wowww!
Dear Harm,
Thanks for posting this beauty!
This is Cyclophora lennigiaria (Fuchs, 1883), a west-mediterranean species only abundant in the Iberian-penninsula, France and a small patch at the western border of germany, following its foodplant, Acer monspessulanum.
Tha taxonomic rank of the species is still doubted. Is it common in your place? Are U also collecting, or only photographing?
Yours,
Greg
Hi Harm,
ID correct, this is puppillaria, might be rare in GB, but most common everywhere in S-Europe!
:)

Greg
Dear Septimiu,
This is Apatura iris of the family Nymphalidae!

Hi Roberto,
This should be C. hyale or australis, not croceus!

Dear Dennis,
This is a caterpillar of a moth belonging to the family Saturniidae, Attacini tribe, Attacus genus.
In the Philippines the following 4 Attacus species are abundant:
Attacus atlas (Linnaeus, 1758)
Attacus caesar Maassen, 1873
Attacus lorquinii C. & R. Felder, 1861
Attacus lemairei Peigler, 1985
Should be one of them:)
Yours,
Greg
Dear Muhammad,
This Is Hypparchia parisatis of the family Satyridae (now Satyrinae, Nymphalidae)!

WOWW, this is really cool.
What you have here is a special subspecies of the Spurge Hawkmoth, namely Hyles euphorbiae conspicua.
Most interesting, as until now the eastern data of this ssp. was only from Iran...
Do more like this:)
Yours,
Greg
Very nice vehicle!
I think it should be a young cat of the Levant Hawkmoth=Theretra alecto (Linnaeus, 1758).
Yours,
Greg

Congrats:)
