Andy, I like how you seemed to be able to capture a bit of mood in the with the chimp. He seems to show much emotion, and I like this. In many of my photographs, this is something that I have a hard time with and end up relying on dumb luck to get anything close to this. You clearly have a knack for this.

I found the blur of the bars distracting on the eyes, although generally I very much like the presence of such artifacts because they often tell a story on their own and go a long ways to describe the scene. If the bars were merely out of focus, and not showing camera shake, you would have yourself a near perfect image.

In this particular photograph, I liked how the noise seemed to add something to the image. Often there is a tricky balance between the noise and image quality, but I think you pulled this off nicely. I think removing the colour helped you out a little here.

Overall, a very nice photograph. I have added it as one of my favourites.
