Nice shot. Maybe it's nto a typical nesting site, because the camouflage does not look too good.

Hi Ori,
Ambitious effort to catch the whole plant in one photo. Lower angle with the flowers against the sky might have done the trick.

Hi Derrick,
I think it is not Ixora. The flower structure (the helicopter) is very typical to the Apocynaceae Family. Unfortunately I do not know the Genus even though it resembles the Acokanthera. There are over 400 Genera in the Family between the tropical and the warm temperate regions. An expert should be able to tell the species from the photo, because it represents the flowers very well.

Hi Shir,
Very nice Ophrys israelitica. The bokeh is not perfect, but good enough. Have you seen my new plant guide to Israel? I did it with my wife and Ori Fragman-Sapir who is in the TrekNature, too. It is called "Itaisen Valimeren kasviopas" and it is available in books shops. It is in Finnish, but the plant names are also in English.

Hi Gerard,
Nice work. Aiming only 3 mm lower and cropping on the right to cut the leaf and it would be perfect.

Hi Vivian,
Beautiful portrait. My friend in Holland rings these birds and I have had opportunitties to see those.

Hi Vera,
The horizon is tilted to the left, but the colors look absolutely great.
