Hi
I'm writing this without looking at a bird book as I haven't got one with me here.
I would think this is a Wahlberg's Eagle although I couldn't be dogmatic.
Looking at it I don't think its a Kite species and it looks a bit small for a Tawny Eagle but as I say thats just going by my gut feeling rather than anything concrete!
A good photo though especially considering the overcast conditions - TFS and starting this debate! :)

Hi
Nice action photo of this comical bird as it sifts through what I presume is Elephant dung looking for insects and undigested seeds/fruit!!
I like the low POV of this photo....

Hi
Thanks for these great pics of this fascinating insect....I saw this guy on a recent trip to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary near Serowe - you can see the photo here, Botswana and didnt know what it was until I saw your post!! Thanks for the info...
Superb, clear photo showing the detail brilliantly!! Mine's not half as good but hopefully I'll keep improving...

Hi
Nice shot - I've never seen a male lion in Chobe (I've seen them elsewhere) only ever lionesses!! So you've got one up on me (though thats not hard!!) :)
Just wondered what aperture you used - maybe a smaller one would have improved the DOF in order to bring the eyes into focus too...
all in all a good shot...
thanks
Phil
Nice picture - you could say the composition maybe a little central...but to me the branches frame it quite well...

I like the action here - captured this feeding frenzy well....
Shame you didnt add a note.....just a few words would do rather than none!
Phil
Nice atmosphere to this photo - everything just waking up!! :)
I love the way you have caught the light filtering through....
Phil...
