Bonjour Anne,
This is also the first for me to see this Moth that at first glance appeared to be a bat hovering over the flower. This moth must be low in numbers as I have not seen many of them even on Nature shows on Television. A great capture for your archives, and for us a gift to see one up close.
TFS...
Have A Great Week,
Steve

Hello Anna,
The question I ask myself is, "do I see any gregariousness between yourself and this Warthog?" I will have to allow you to answer this question to yourself and live with your response. Lol...
You must have quite a life there as you are able to see the many of the world's wildlife in their natural state.
An excellent capture with great detail to this muddy cousin of ours,
Have A great month ahead...

Bonjour Anne,
I have missed many of your posts as I have been very busy during the days, and now I see that i have missed many butterfly images you have attached to your portfolio. You are so fortunate to have such a variety where you live, as well as all the flower types.
A beautiful combination with this flowering bud and butterfly. Excellent capture of the markings, and how about what appears to be an eye patch, do you know what it is?
Excellent capture...
Have A Great Weekend...

Hello Janice,
That's a striped skunk without the smell, didn't you know that? Really, a cute little fellow you have captured here! I'm surprised it stood out in the open when you were so close as they are often seen running from any intruder in their area, especially Coyotes, and Redtail and Swainson Hawks as they are preyed upon by them mostly, as well as Great Horned Owls.
Excellent capture,
Have a Great Week...

Bonjour Anne,
It seems that every time I open an image that you have just recently taken it is much better than the previous. This beautiful composition with the soft light and pastel colors is such a remarkable image that it must be rated high on your own list of achievements. The image makes one stop and peer deeply at the detail of this grouping of this grand butterfly and flowering plant.
It certainly caught my attention and I have the most respect for your keen eye and attention to detail,
Have a Great Week, and Good Shooting...

Hello Bob,
Those are the largest groupings of Lichen I have ever seen! The clumps are massive, and jet gray. I have seen the gray Lichen several times before, but never this large.
Great note, it sounds as if W. J. Bruce may have actually sat with the Brave on his last days, or his writing was concerning the plight of the last free Native Americans that lived within the borders of the US.

Hello Janice,
This is an interesting and most often times beautiful event that we are fortunate enough to witness. Once I was driving to Mt. Hood and from about 45 miles away this same event with the sun rays were shooting out from behind the peak and were split as they hit the glaciers on Mt. Hood. I was going for a day hike on Yoakum ridge when that occured so there was nso time to stop on the highway and capture that lone image. That was the only time I have ever seen the sun rays pass over the mountain so distinctly in the morning.
Yours is a beautiful capture, and the book must be as good as you say...
TFS,
Steve

Hello Janice,
The dove appears to have spotted you looking at it, that is for sure. Doves are beautiful when you can get close enough to really enjoy their markings, and in this image you have captured it well for the lens you chose to utilize.
Well done,
Have a great weekend...

Hello Anna,
You have captured areal beuty with this image of the robin. you are so fortunate to live in such a remote area where tghe species are so unlike any that we have here in the States. The detail of the feathers and Downy feathers within the image is excellent,
An Excellent Capture of this flitty bird...

Bonjour Anne,
Here is another very beautiful image from you of a Lepidoptria in the Alps. I love the clover's detail and soft lighting as well its compliment of the butterflys.
Very colorful...
