Hello Mish,
Great portrait of this little fella: love the pose and the image clarity. Great notes, too - I'll be checking out your web site shortly!
Best wishes,
Jeff
G'day Janice!
You will have many opportunities to capture some great images with your Canon 30D - and this is pretty darn good as one of your 1st efforts! I'm really looking forward to returning to Alberta (and in particular, Kananaskis Country) in the fall of '07 - and to seeing more of your shots from this beautiful part of the world.
Best wishes,
Jeff
One of your best, Paul: great depth of field, colours and beautiful grains in the shingle. I think I walked on this beach once before I migrated some 34 years ago!
Regards,
Jeff
Hello Saeed
Beautifully done: simplicity in lighting and composition, but oh so effective! Love the 'oily' look of the water.
Thanks for sharing,
Jeff
Hello Akif,
A very different coloured pelican from those I see in Western Australia: has he had his beak in a paint pot??
Good detail and sharpness - well done!
Jeff
Hello Maite,
Great close-up and colours: you can tell you've got a winner here, with all the positive feedback. Well done!!
Regards,
Jeff
Hello Michele
Welcome to TN - you have some lovely shots in your portfolio!
As for this one - I would recommend trying Neat Image to reduce some of the noise, and/or maybe a tighter crop around the subject. I'm originally from Sussex, some 34 years ago now, and I can identify with many of your birds and fishing spots!
Thanks for sharing, and keep up the excellent work!
Regards,
Jeff
Good take, Ken: these two look as though they were almost touching one another! To me, pelicans are the Boeing 747's of the bird world - just beautiful in flight.
TFS,
Jeff

G'day John!
The birdlife made a much better subject than the boathouse, eh! I think the VR lens worked very well for you here - those nails sticking up from the wooden planks, and the bird's toenails and plumage, are superbly focused. The bokeh is pretty good, too. I think the Aussie version of the darter is more impressive than the American bird, too.
Best wishes,
Jeff
