Good exposure, I find wet subjects in bright light difficult. Very nice details because of the sharpness of the pic. I played a bit with the composition in the workshop.

An interesting subject well presented. With temp reaching mid thirties (c) in South Africa, it is difficult to imaging the cold you are experiencing. It is even nice thinking about cooling down like this, although you probably would swop places with me.

Hi Jay,

I like your composition. The point you are making is about the ocean and not the clubhouse or shore. The horizon is close to the 3rd and is horizontal in spite of the illusion created by the rest of the shore line.

Nice, pleasing shot, but a polarizing filter would have assisted with the glare. It would also have enhanced the blue sky ;)

What a brilliantly coloured bird. Agree with you that I would fill my card with shots of this beauty. Good composition and sharpness. High ISO probably caused the noise in the BG. Did a workshop and removed the noise with NeatImage (as suggested) and it worked well.
