[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken late afternoon near a seasonal flood plain - a lot of the water had dried - hence all the wild sage around the Impala. I had been trying to get a good shot of a male impala for 3 weeks and I think I got it in this fellow. So often people pass by these beautiful antelope and dont give them a second glance. They are incredibly beautiful and lovely to watch. All the females at this time of year will have been pregnant - they will drop their foals when the rains come - they apparently have the ability to delay the birth of their offspring until the rains have started and the new grass shoots are abundant - this is normally at the beginning of November. This herd was grazing with zebra - you often find them together - good system of protection - more eyes to look out for predators.
The only changes made to this photograph was to crop it.

What a lovely shot of this beautiful Impala, the composition is great and I like the watchful pose you have captured, the detail is nice and sharp and the colours are lovely, I like the late aternoon lighting too.

This lovely, the Impala and your presentation. The light is great, really lets the subtile highlights of his coat.
Did you try a copy that was a little sharper?
