Where you wading with the hippos to get this POV? :)
Fantastic impact and the hippo does look as if it comes out of hiding. The hot spots on the right cheek is a bit distracting but I don't think I could have pulled this off as well as you did.
Keep 'em comming!
SUPERBE photo !!
L'éclairage et la prise de vue sont magnifique.
FÉLICITATIONS !!

:) How on earth did you get this picture, Rob? Were you in one of those dug-out canoes in the Okavango? Very impressive. I don't think I ever want to get this close to a hippo. TFS.

Very good face shot! Nice to see it in the natural habitat, and content like that. Very sweet.

These are fascinating guys but it's often difficult to get a good shot... you succeeded admirably with this one. Great detail and composition. Good job!

Hi Rob, this is a great shot. I love the low angle view and the hipp with all the strands of vegetation looks great, even a little mischievous! The lighting is good although a little more on the nose/face would be even better, I suppose asking the hippo to turn around a bit is out of the question!
Lovely picture, well done.

A fantastic wonderful picture!!!!!
This photo is so cute, like a little child who thinks they are completely hidden behind a small tree just because they can't see you. I love the grass over his head, and the blurry background. The light reflecting off of his face is nice also, hard to imagine this adorable looking face can be such a dangerous creature. I would have been terrified being this close to him, well done.

Rec'd you message from my previous photos and I do get the message. I spend most of my time on TL and TE with bulk of pictures. Now if I could only see the hippo's teeth...Great photo and thanks
