[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Visiting Botswana's Chobe area during the rainy season I noticed this fungi growing out of elephant dung. Dung not being my favourite photo topic I tried to be artistic. I am sharing it because I found it interesting. The African elephant, the world's largest land mammal, can weigh up to 4 700 Kg. To carry this bulk it needs to eat 300 Kg of food and drink 160 litres of water each day. And they produce about 100 Kg of dung per day(!) literary covering the countryside with it, offering great opportunity not only for lowly dung beatles, but also for fungi to develop.

Quite touching landscape with dramatic sky, lake, trees, exotic funghi and ... giant piles of poop... Very creative, excelent result trough the low POV.

Hi Nico

I'm interested to see how fuhgi grow so fast on relatively fresh dung. Very instructive comments.
Thanks for showing.

Interesting place and the fungi, but I have proposal change (workshop).
