| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This elephant was resident at Nxabega Camp in the Okavango Delta. He seemed very relaxed amongst humans and wandered around the camp every day and night. As we were waiting for our flight he came right next to the verandah and allowed us within metres - hence the opportunity to get real close up pictures. I have not adjusted the photo at all, but wonder if brightness should be toned down?
Not sure there is much I can say about elephants that is educational, other than they are gentle giants if treated with respect and reverence. This was a magical moment. |

great close up but there is strong contrast and needs toning down so I have tried a wksp.
just Wow i like it
I was wondering why you have so many pics from Southern Africa and living in the UK. Just read your profile now it makes sense.
The pic is not over exposed and is nice and sharp. You can even see the hair on the elephants trunc. I am not sure but it is possible that the elephant was darker than in the pic? If so the reason that it is light grey would be because the camera tries to expose to average grey. It is an interesting thing to read up on.
