Very sharp picture of this creature, which would be better still if the leaf or petal wasn't so out of focus at the bottom.

I think you might want to crop as much as possible of the leaf out. See my workshop - I also reduced brightness a bit to overcome the bright spot on the leaf.

Is the little black thing part of the plant or some other insect? It looks like a kind of wasp.

I like this very much and although I may agree that the bottom could be cropped a bit , your focus and timing is awesome!!! I just love being able to see relative scale of the flower to the grasshopper to the flying ant or whatever spieces it is. Other than no note you have a terrific photo here, Jean. Welcome to TN.

Joli criquet avec cet autre insecte non identifié. Je manque d'informations pour critiquer adéquatement ta photo. À première vue, il semble que tu aies voulu tout photographier: la fleur, le criquet et l'autre insecte.
