Hello Achim,
these buttress roots are very impressive and I know that it is very difficult to demonstrate this
'impressiveness' by a picture. I tried it several times and I was always disappointed by the result
because it was quite different from the situation when directly facing these large trees.
Than you for this nice, well exposed and sharp picture of the tree - I can imagine the reality!

Sehr interessantes Bild dieser Brettwurzeln, die für einige tropischen Baumarten so typisch sind. Wenn der Boden zu wenig Haftung gibt muss man physikalisch kompensieren..
