Egyptian eagle owl
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We were touring some of the really old (older than the 3 great pyramids) pyramids in Saqquara, when I saw a couple of young Egyptian (aka Desert or Pharoah) eagle-owls (Bubo ascalaphus) actually half-way up the pyramid. As I was loooking at those two which weren't facing us, my wife found this one which was. They were obviously quite well camouflaged amongst the deteriorating ruble.
There doesn't seem to be too many details out there on this bird (habitat, characteristics, etc.). Sorry.
PS for crop and sharpen. |

Hi Kyle.
I like captured by you picture so much. Excellent composition, rich (I think, true) colours, very good details and perfect exposure. Only image is soft a bit. Well done and TFS.
Alexei.
