Mozambique host goby
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hmmm, ever since the day when I took this picture I've been 100% sure that is was some sort of blennie that I captured. But now when I've been going trough my fish id books I've found out that it's a “Mozambique host goby” or as it's also called “Common ghostgoby” (Pleurosicya mossambica).
It inhabits clear lagoons and sheltered seaward reefs in depths between 2 to 28 meter. It grows up to 3 cm in length.
Males guard the eggs that are laid directly on the host. The females also guard or stay in the vicinity. |

Excellent photo of that small fish! Nice colors, but I don't underestand is it a parasite?
