Well it been a while but we made it back in one piece, Egypt is an amazing place to say the least.

It was a hectic schedule visiting so many places, from the Pyramids of Giza, to ballooning over the Valley of the Queens, sailing both Lake Nasser and the Nile.

From Abydos to Luxor it really was a journey of a lifetime.

I could not describe what its like to stand next to the Great Pyramids, awesome yes, incredible with out a doubt, truly an amazing adventure.

I captured this little Egret on the shores of the Temple of Philae, the temple lies south of the city of Aswan.

It’s really nice to be home and I know I have a lot of catching up to do, so please bear with me, and as always many thanks for your comments and encouragement.

Hallo Rick
It is good to see you around. I am sure you are going to spoil us with some lovely images in the future. A wonderful image with clear details of this lovely bird. Your focus here was spot on, which is proof to me of your great talent as photographer. A lovely pose captured. The beautiful eye is very catching and cannot be missed. It is almost magnetic. It was a real pleasure to look at this soft white coloured beauty. Kind regards
Anna

Hello Rick.
Welcome back after what must have been a wonderful trip to Egypt.
This is one of the best portraits of the Little Egret that I have seen with all the features well seen from this POV that is taken with excellent sharpness against a fine contrasting OOF Bg. The black legs and yellow feet, the main feature of this species, show up very well.
TFS this fine illustration,
Cheers,
Ivan

A beautiful lateral capture of a majestic bird in fine focus Richard, and with quite a correct exposure too, no overexposed parts even in the whitest parts against a darkish BG. Not an amateurish accomplishment my friend!
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hi Rick,

Welcome home! What a remarkable trip you must have had - Egypt is high on my list of must sees. This Little Egret is magnificent contrasting sharply with its surroundings. The white is perfect and I love the yellow eye and feet. Amazing details of the plummage. This is really a beauty.
