Here another pied kingfisher. I think its one of the most common kingfishers in Gambia. During the week I stayed in gambia I saw at least 10 of them. Hope you like this one.

This bird is so well captured. You have created some brilliance though excellent sharpness and clarity of the image for a not so colorful bird. Well managed light and shadow with good depth blurring the pleasant contrasting background. Very well perched exposing fabulous plumage and pose nicely on the colorful branch. Excellent capture of top quality image and very well done. TFS!

Fine colorful shot if amazing scene. Terrific BG (its colorfulness and smoothness are simply great) underlines the beauty of the bird and twig perfectly. Shot is composed precisely, Exposure of the bird image is the best as well as the details and sharpness. Bravo and TFS.

Zeno, It is a lovely picture. The Kingfishers in India are very sensitive birds. We cannot get to within 100ft to take pictures. I am amazed at how you were able to get such a close up.
