[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is a pool at Bakau, just outside Gambia's capital, Banjul. It is full of crocs, up to 4 meters long, and on our visit, in April, had seen no rain for several months. It was a thick green soup of algae, and the crocs would slither out to bask in the sun. They were reputedly non-aggressive, and I managed to get quite close for some shots, but was very wary!

You gotta love this composition. The contrast between the crocs and the swamp is great. Nice shot indeed!
