[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While in The Gambia we took a trip upriver to the North Bank Division to visit the villages of Albreda and Juffureh. I spotted this fellow enjoying a juicy bee and took this shot with my SLR, 300mm lens on macro, and no tripod! The mantis was totally indifferent to this intrusion. As to the species: I think a Sphodromantis sp. is most likely.

Great shot.
With digital we can do a lot to try to have the incredible result of detail and sharpness.
with your F80 I suppose one or two shots maximum. Without Tripd !
Live is dangerous for the insects.
