Hi Mike. The more i look at the butterfly photos, the more I am amazed at the patterns and colour combinations. This one would not be classified as spectacular, yet it has elegance and lovely design on its wings. The colours are harmonious and attractive. Nice clear shot. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Mike,
A fine capture of a beautiful and striking Pierid, Colotis evippe. I remember seeing this species in Nigeria years ago when my parents worked there, but that was before I could photograph butterflies.
Great POV, sharpness, nice contrast with the green BG and pleasing composition.
Well done and thanks,
Regards, Ivan
Hi Mike,
Interesting butterfly and a very nice setting and composition. The wings, especially the upperside of the left wing, are a little over-exposed. This is what usually happens with 'automatic' exposure of a white subject against a dark background. You may want to try to override the metering by a stop or so in such cases in the future. Alternatively, you may get some detail back in the white areas by reducing the brightness or levels on Photoshop or similar. Thanks.
Alan
