Euphaedra medon.
Common forester butterfly. ( male).
One of a large number of Euphaedra species.
Found in African rainforest.
Highly coloured forest butterflies.
Feed on rotting fruit. Patrol forest paths deep in forest. Low flying.
Photo shows typical features of the Euph. medon with the general colouring, the cell markings and in particular the white apical fore wing spots. Only other species of Euph showing this white spotting is Euph. neophron.

I do like your African material. Having never been to tropical africa, the butterflies from there are all new to me. This is very sharp, with a good DOF. The colours look very natural and the composition is excellent. Thanks.
