Hi Jure

Please except my belated welcome to TN and may you have a pleasant stay and hopefully we will still see plenty of your lovely photos.

I notice that your first 3 postings were well accompanied by neat notes, but somehow (sadly) this one has nothing. Please remember that notes are a very integral part of TN so that you and we can learn something about nature and photography. This is only possible when you tell us more about your subject than just a captive title and also by telling us more about your shot, conditions, settings, etc. Since you are a new member I feel obliged to remind you about this aspect since I normally do not critique any photo without a note. Incidentally so do many other TN members also ignore such postings. Anyway, enough of that, lets talk about your photo.

Seems like your title very aptly described this monkey’s behaviour as far as that piece of food is concerned. It seems to be mesmerised and totally consumed with it. I like the composition with the primate sitting in the V-shaped branches that actually frames the little animal. The colours are intense and well saturated, the details are very sharp, and you made excellent use of the available light that obviously was in rather short supply under the canopy of the trees.

Hi Jure,
What a lovely sharp picture of this monkey.
I have no idea of the species but it looks rather cute and I guess not too large.
May I suggest that a tighter crop and use of Photoshop to remove the branch crossing the tree trunk and going above the monkeys head would improve the picture. Just my opinion. TFS.
