Aquila rapax
This photo is taken in Buffalo Springs National reserve, in Kenya. The eagle, I think it’s not Aquila nipalensis, I think it’s Aquila rapax, is eating a baby impala. My interpretation is that we can see the eagle’s crop cause it must be full after the launch. It will be welcome any opinion from any specialist about the specie or about the eagle’s crop.
The photo is cropped respect the original, with an increase of temperature and some adjustments of brightness, contrast and noise reduction.

Hi Ferran,

An excellent shot of this eagle, well seen and captured and framed although I think the colors could use a bit more contrast imo

Paul

I confirm your ID, it's TAWNY EAGLE (aquila rapax). It's an adult one.

Excellent shot and nice moment freeze.

Oh.. wow.. what a shot.
Sharp and dramatic. Clearly, this is a bird of prey. And nice to see an action shot this way. Colors are great throughout.
TFS.

Excelente e impresionante toma. Sobresale el plumaje medio e inferior del águila. El detalle del animal muerto cera el hábitat. Tonos cálidos y elegantes del conjunto.
Una foto soberbia
