A family of chimpanzees in Sweet Waters Reserve is a 24,000-acre Game Reserve.
These chimpanzees are rescued from poachers and placed here in the sanctuary.

Wikipedia: Chimpanzee, often shortened to chimp, is the common name for the two extant species of apes in the genus Pan. The better known chimpanzee is Pan troglodytes, the Common Chimpanzee, living primarily in West, and Central Africa. Its cousin, the Bonobo or "Pygmy Chimpanzee" as it is known archaically, Pan paniscus, is found in the forests of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Congo River forms the boundary between the two species. Chimpanzees are members of the Hominidae family, along with gorillas, humans, and orangutans, and the two chimpanzee species are the closest living relatives to humans.
A full grown adult male chimpanzee can weigh from 35-70 kilograms (75-155 pounds) and stand 0.9-1.2 meters (3-4 feet) tall, while females usually weigh 26-50 kg (57-110 pounds) and stand 0.66-1 meters (2-3˝ feet) tall.

One could be puzzled about the tight cropping.
No, not really. Very sharp image; excellent depth of field. Technically not easy.

Hi Way, very good sharp image of this family of chimps. The colour is very natural looking, the composition with the two parents looking towards you works well. Good control of your lighting, though it looks as if it might have been harsh, and all of it nicely wrapped up and presented in that very neutral frame.

Hello Way,
The detail you have captured in this wonderful portrait are incredible. The watchful eyes of the parents are glued to you as they accept the food offering. The sweet baby clinging to its' mom for safety, the whole composition is wonderful, thank you Way.

Incredible sharpness... What lens are you using? ... must be a prime??? 300mm or 400mm f/2.8 or maybe the 70-200 f2.8???? Those are my guesses. Beautiful work...
