Grevy's zebra, in a shady lowland area just before sunset. Note how the pattern on the hides tends to blur the animals - I assume that somehow the Moire pattern is used by zebra to confuse their predators.
Just down the road (about 1 km from this herd) a pride of lions was just stirring from their afternoon nap and heading for this location - there would be a kill tonight |
