Hi Paul, very nice shot of this White-fronted Bee Eater. The composition with him in this crop, with his wings spread like that works well. Colour is good with very good detail seen on the bird. He turned his head perfectly to give you that great eye.

Great shot, you've captured him very well.
Great pose and composition.
Great sharpness and DOF, colours are good too.

The stick above the birds head is a little distracting and I would have been tempted to clone it out on such a good image. I did a quick workshop to show you the difference. Hope you don't mind.
