The giraffe is the highest of all living species of terrestrial animals. Males can measure between 4.8 to 5.5 meters in height and weigh up to 900 kg. Its name comes from Arabic and means the highest of all.

Originating in Africa, the giraffe is related to deer and cattle, but it belongs to another family, Giraffidae, which includes only the giraffe and its closest relative, the okapi.

The giraffes are famous for its long neck, which enables them to achieve the highest and tender leaves of the trees, and its long front legs, which are much larger than the rear. The neck bone structure is no different from that of other mammals: vertebrae has no extras, but each of the 7-bone is more elongated. Also has some small horns, called ossicorns, which are covered by skin.
