A hypo walking back to the water, does not look very friendly to us as they feel quite insecure out of the water. We were fortunate not to be on his way to the water :-)

hi levend
brilliant shot this with the animals apparent air of disdain towards the picture takers
i have seen them out of water at night when the coat doesnt dry out too fast..
but not in daytime

"Any problems?" just about sums it up. That's a great shot! I have never seen one in 'real' life but from what I hear, they are not the 'friendliest' of creatures. I am sure it was a thrilling experience. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, you were fortunate to be out of the way..these guys can get nasty :)
I like the comp and the animals pose as he gives you that side look with eye contact.
