Hello Paul. This is excellent bird shot. I like the sharpens and the perch of the capture. Beautiful plumage and stunning against the muted green background. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend. Jusni

Hi Paul,

Very good capture of this bird I don't recognise either. Great pose and composition, sharp details and nice colours.

Hola Paul.
Hermosa la foto de este bello Pajarillo. Los colores Negro y amarillo combinan exelentemente con su plumaje. La pose es ideal para la foto.
Saludos Paul.
Luis52.

Paul,

Can't help you with the ID at all. However, I can say that you've captured this one beautifully. I like the pose, lighting and detail on the plumage. Black birds (of any kind) are always a challenge to photograph. Very nicely done. TFS.

Best Regards,

Martin

This is not a weaver but a Widow bird. Not too sure which one though as Kenya have different species to the South African ones which I am more familiar with.
Nice capture. TFS.
Mike
